Biographical Notes:

He studied architecture at NYU.

His career began as a singer/ dancer in Vaudeville. 

He made his debut as George Gershwin in "Rhapsody in Blue". 

He created the role of Sky Masterson in "Guys and Dolls", for which he won a Tony.

He had great success on Broadway. His son is Alan Alda. He once appeared with his son on an episode of MASH.
